Twitch Retrovirus
Twitch is a DNA retrovirus which upon integrating with the host genome restores lost gene activity by carrying an unknown number/combination of inactive genes matching with transcription factors.
These new genes are responsible for altered sensory perceptions including but not limited to telekinetic and telepathic abilities that appear to operate at upper microwave frequencies. Other significant changes include hormonal and chemical balances within the body.
Twitch infection also results in greatly accelerated DNA replication highly prone to mutation. Those infected with Twitch tend to die within five to ten years due to a wide variety of cancers and/or organ failures.
